Lyla

(I wrote this on June 2nd 2013 but just now posting it, so I'll have to do a more recent update on Lyla soon) Also she did her own posing :)

 

Lyla has been so much better lately. I have been enjoying her again :) Here are some fun things about her lately

she loves to "tend" (pretend) to be a tiger, cheetah/tiger, nightmare moon (my little pony) apple jack
cat, dog etc. and she always wants us to pretend to be those things with her

she loves rainbows, she likes to color rainbows, or if something has a rainbow on it she loves it!

she picks her nose and eats her boogers. Yes its so sick and I've tried to stop it but there is nothing I can do. And she likes to tell me "mom, I don't eat my boogers anymore" but then a few min later I catch her doing it again

loves playing with her friends outside and can run around all day if I let her

she can be very sweet at times and gives us hugs and tells us she loves us very much

when I compliment her she says, "aww mom that's sweet"

she loves Jackson and will sometimes play with him but lately she gets annoyed with him and doesn't like him getting in her space. she always can be rough with him and we have to get after her a lot about that

She started sunbeams and really likes it. The teachers say she loves to raise her hand and answer questions

she loves to sing whether is songs shes learned or songs she likes to make up (those are my favorite)

she has a huge imagination and she has now started to play school or "mom and dad" or my little pony.

11 months

He is everywhere with his walking
he tries to climb up small things
loves to put shoes on his hands
likes to follow you around crying and whining
loves it when you chase him
he loves wrestling
LOVES being outside, when I bring him back inside the moment he sees the inside he starts to cry
still wakes up in the night for a bottle, most of the time just once
takes two naps
sounds like a cat when he cries

10 months

walking so much more and I bet by the end of the month he'll be walking all the time
just started to do a new laugh, its the cutest giggle
today (8/7/13) he put the remote up to his ear and started to jabber
he jibber jabbers all day long
he loves to scream, when hes happy and angry
he really loves Lyla. Too bad she is too rough with him all day long!
as of around 8/20 he is a full fledge walker.
everyone says he sounds like a cat when he cries
he gets jealous when I hold Lyla
he says "hi" and tries to say "boo"

2 weeks after turning 10 months he was walking and no crawling anymore!

He was so wiggly!

9 months

started to take a few steps and by the end of the month he was taking about 10 steps at a time and would walk on his own
getting his top teeth in
started to point that things
loves to eat and feed himself
at the end of his 9th month he started to clap without anyone showing him
loves his binky now and needs it to go to bed
he LOVES everyone and will hold out his arms to anyone. He makes everyone feel so special
he is a happy guy but he does whine at me a lot and if I leave the room or his sight he starts to cry

8 months

still sleeping in his swing
just started to take a binky
at grandmas house he climbed up the stairs for the first time
started to eat table food for all his meals, he leaves feeding himself
got his two bottom teeth in
still gets up twice in the night (sometimes more) then gets up at 6am!

7 months

He started to stand up on things a few days after he turned 7 months. Now at almost 8 months he is everywhere and standing on everything, even crawling on top of things. He has even stood all by himself for a few seconds without holding on

he LOVES food. he is eating every 2 to 3 hours switching every other with bottle and baby food. And he LOVES to feed himself with finger foods. He gets so excited every time I shake the bottle of his puffs.

he loves to twist his tongue and then chew on it

crys when I leave the room

he has found his voice, he screams and squeals so loud, I love it

he is the most wiggly kid ever, always moving around and its so hard to hold him unless you are standing with him

he likes his bath time and has learned to splash his hands

still puts EVERTHING in his mouth, he will find the smallest thing on the ground and put it in his mouth

really loves Lyla, he lights up when he sees her and she makes him laugh a lot

he is super ticklish especially on his feet and neck

even though he is a mamas boy he really really loves his dad

he hold his arms out and leans towards you when he wants to go to you

he will let anyone hold him and smiles at everyone

just got his first tooth (bottom right) and the left one is coming in soon

takes only 2 naps a day and is getting a little better at sleeping at night but still wakes up a couple times to eat

wakes up at 6 every morning! hate that!

likes to pinch, he gets the smallest amount of skin possible and it hurts so bad haha

we love this boy and all his chubs that comes with it. He seriously is the cutest thing ever!!!!

6 months

He started crawling a few days after he turned 6 months
loves to stick out his tongue and its seriously so long
started to feed him little puffs and he loves it
using his hands more to pick up little tiny things
a mamas boy
taking 3 naps a day and still sleeps the worst at night and ends up sleeping with me
does not like the car
He is just the sweetest thing ever, we love him so much

5 months

Jackson is such a happy baby, he just has the sweetest smile.

He loves playing on the ground with his toys
still wakes up every few hours in the night and mostly sleeps with me in bed :(
started to sleep on his stomach
makes this funny nose in the back of his throat
very ticklish
started feeding him baby oatmeal and has really started to like it, he keeps his mouth open really big for more
rolls over everywhere and has now gotten up on his knees and rocks back and forth
at almost 6 months he started to get up in sitting position from his hands and knees but will have one hand to hold him up
he started to fuss or cry when I left the room
super super wiggly, anyone who holds him always comments about that
loves lyla he always smiles and lights up when he sees her
still sleeps in his swing swaddled up for his naps and takes 3 naps a day
he is able to put himself to sleep in the swing and he is soon going to grow out of it, what will I do!!!
