Just had to document that Troy felt the baby kick tonight 4 times in a row! So cute! (at 17.5 weeks)

Lyla is quite the character, you ask her to pose and this is what she'll give ya

 I love going in her room and look at her sleep, this first picture I heard in her monitor singing to her lion and this is what I found a few min later, so cute!

 sometimes she likes to keep on her dress up clothes

 I bought her some fake princess nails and she LOVED them

 this girl can climb ANYTHING, people are always amazed at her skills

 she always finds our deoderant and has to put it on too

Lyla can count to 15
she knows her shapes
she can sing all three versus of "I'm a child of God" along with about 10 more songs
she loves to sing, especially disney songs
she loves putting on my lipstick and mascara and asks to put it on almost everyday
she loves getting dressed up in her princess outfits and almost always has to have a crown or mickey mouse hat on where ever we go.
Lyla has very good manners (sometimes) she will say please and thank you
her favorite food is noodles, she would eat noodles, pasta, mac n cheese all day long if we let her
she is into bugs, she will let ants crawl on her hand

loves reading books
She "read" to me the book "Hop on Pop" and she knew what every page said

always has to pick flowers whenever she sees them
loves riding her new little bike
you always know when Lyla is pooping, its the only time she is playing quietly with her toys
Still OBSESSED with her binkis
not potty trained yet, but introducing it to her
No matter how hard she was during the day I always love doing our bedtime routine, its the only time she cuddles me and says "goodnight, I love you"
she likes to do the opposite to what I say, I say Lyla lets hurry, and she says no I go slow
I'll admit Lyla eats her boogers, yes so gross and I've tried to get her to stop and I tell her how yucky it is and to please stop! Well she looks at me with her booger on her finger and will lick it off and say "mmmm delicious", or "look mommy its good". She really knows how to push my buttons!

Lyla is such a crazy little girl, she at moments can also be sooo sweet and give you hugs and kisses and will say I love you mommy. (she used to say "lub" instead of love but I think shes mastered how to say it now). But along with all the good about her Lyla has also been so very challenging for me. She can throw the biggest tantrums you've ever seen and what is so hard is she will scratch and hit really hard. I seriously have scratches all over my arms and sometimes my face! I discipline her everytime but she has yet to understand not to do it. There was a point for a few weeks she was throwing tantrums every single day and they would last up to an hour and a half, thats when I decided to change the locks around so I could lock her in her room for her time outs. As of late shes been doing better but still has her issues with scratching. Lyla is such a strong willed and independent child but I know that someday these characteristics will help her be a stong leader. We love Lyla so much and even though she may be hard work and challenging at times we are so grateful to have her in our family. She makes us laugh a lot!

April......

On April 7th we went to my friend Julie's house to dye easter eggs. Lyla mostly liked putting stickers on her eggs. I wish I had more pictures!

 That same day Troy's school had a huge easter egg hunt, which last about 3 secs because there are hundreds of kids. She had fun decorating cookies and eating junk!

 After church we went to the Palmers for another easter egg hunt and we played some fun games and won great prizes!

March.....

On March 6th we went with our friends Katie and Erich to see the musical Wicked, I really enjoyed it alot but it was a little too long and Im good with seeing it only one time :)

 Every year at Troy's school they do a charity called cuts for kids and they have lots of fun things to do!

 Lyla was having the time of her life with all that junk food and sliding. Also you notice that purple bump on Lyla's head?? she fell at church and hit it on the edge of the window, we took her to urgent care and they put glue on it.

 Here I am at 11 weeks, the only pic I've taken so far and Im almost 18 weeks now, I need to get on it!

 Heres a picture of some of my good friends out at cheesecake factory celebrating my birthday. Also that day Troy got a sweet deal on a one hour massage and one hour facial for me. That was the best!!!

The next day we got to go eat at my favorite place, Le Chalet. I really had a great birthday!

Valentines Day

I cant remember for the life of me if we did anything for valentines day (thats what I get for not posting right when things happen) but I did do these cute/cheesy things for Troy.

Feburary happenings.....

Feb. 3rd was when I found out I was prego with baby number 2! It was actually very suprising. We had just started "trying" in Jan. so I guess this baby was really ready to come! I decided that night at ten pm that I was going to wal mart to pic up some tests just to see. Well to much suprise it was positive. We really were so shocked! We were pretty speachless, but yet really excited!

 There I am really happy

 but yet a little freaked out!

For Troys spring break we decided to make a quick trip to California and go to Disneyland. Lyla talks about Disneyland ALL THE TIME, she will even wake up in the middle of the night and say she wants to go to disneyland. We stayed with my brother and his wife. We had alot of fun and Lyla enjoyed staying with her cousins Nate and Macy.

 She LOVES all the princeses but when she went to meet them she was so shy, which is so unlike her!

 I would say her most favorite thing is to watch the parades, she was mesmerized

 Troy bought her this hat and he said "pose" that was her lovely pose. Also sidenote on this hat, she wears it EVERYWHERE we go!

We had a great time getting to spend time with daddy! and being with family too!

December 2011

The hardest part about being way behind on updated my blog is remembering all the things I did during the month.

Me and Lyla drove back with my parents back to california to spend a week there while Troy had school. While we were there we were able to do our tradtion of doing the Nativity with the grandkids and eat homeade scones.

Lyla was not having it.....

So while the rest did the nativity she had a cupcake to keep quiet :)

 Another thing we did was go to Disneylad with Ryan and Taryn, Paul and Jill and Wes and April. This was the only pic of have from that. Lyla watching the parade

 When we got back from California Troy had a two week break, which was the best thing ever to spend time with him. It was Troys family's turn to have us for Christmas. They had lots of fun activities planned like bowling, going the zoo, saw the play "The Forgotten Carols" and just spending time with cousins.
                                                

                                            On Christmas Eve Troy and I did our tradition where we cook a yummy italian meal, and watch a Christmas movie together (we watched The Polor Express). We always look forward to this night.

 I didnt get any pictures of me and Troy opening our presents but Troy got me some jewelry and a new wallet and I got him a nice electric razor.

 On the real Christmas eve we did the nativity with the palmers

 And Santa came and brought everyone a present

 We had a great time with the Palmers for Christmas!

Here is the only picture I have for new years eve. We had a very low key new years we had us some yummy food and watched the new Planet of the Apes. Hello 2012!
