4/21/10 Disneyland with my sissy Kristen

I was able to get a pass to Disneyland and this was Lyla's first time there. I went with my sister Kristen and her 3 kids. It was sooooo cold and rainy so we werent able to stay that long. Considering the weather Lyla did pretty well.

Overwhelmed!

I haven’t posted in so long that I just don’t even know where to start. The reason being is our computer is sooo slow in uploading pictures and I've been waiting to get a new computer. But I guess I don’t need pictures to post, I'll do that later. Well we have been in California at my parents since the end of March for Troy to work. Unfortunately they didn’t have work for him until just a month before we need to leave though. It was nice having him here with me and Lyla but the amount of stress we've had with our finances is huge. The biggest was we had to pay in June our rent for our house in mesa and then a deposit and rent for the house we will be renting in Glendale! We just had to borrow money from our parents to do so, but of course pay them back! Anyway it was just a let down thinking we were going to make a lot of money before we went to medical school and it just didn’t work out that way :(


We did get a new house to rent in Glendale, which we are really excited about. It’s just a couple min. away from Troy's school and we've heard a lot of great things about the new ward we’ll be moving into. Another stress we have had is also trying to find a house to rent and move, all while we are in another state. Troy seriously is soooo amazing, let me just tell you all what he did for us.
Well in the beg. of June Troy drove out to pack up the house. His parents were so kind as to help him with all of this, not only did they pack up the WHOLE house but they also cleaned the entire new house from head to toe! The reason I didn’t go was not only was it going to be super hard traveling with Lyla but also she is so active I don’t think I would be ANY help to him. I seriously felt so awful that I couldn’t come and help him. He worked so hard! then not only did he do that but also he flew out this past Friday night after work, and moved sat morning with the help of friends and family. He did soooo much and I appreciated him for doing this sooo much. And not once did he even complain about doing all this hard work. I really have the best husband ever! Oh and the reason I didn’t help with the move was we couldn’t afford the buy 2 plane tickets! But we are moved into the new house and we are excited for this next chapter in our lives (well kind of) I guess I’m just trying not to think that I’ll be a single parent for the next 8 years of our lives.

Lyla now is 10 months old and is as active as ever! She is a very very happy little girl but she does make us tired. She gets into everything and just wants to explore.
She loves doggies and birdies. She even kind of says "doggie" and "birdie" too, it’s so cute. She just points at them and gets excited. She loves going outside and playing in her walker. She claps her hands when she’s happy or when Baby Einstein comes on. She dances when she hears music or even if you just give her a tune. She says mama and dada, baba, biry (birdy) dawy (doggie). She talks a lot in her own language, it’s so cute how she tries to talk to you and make noise. She is a really good eater, she LOVES grapes. She also likes her veggies and fruits and a lot of what we eat too. She is so friendly and will let anyone hold her. She has 2 bottom teeth and 1 top and another top trying to come through. She FINALLY sleeps at night, which for a while she kept getting earaches and one time her ear drum even burst, it was the saddest thing she was in so much pain. She was also pooping like up to 7 times a day so we switched her to soy and that did the trick. That even helped her to sleep at night! She also didn’t have any more gas that woke her up. She also takes 2 good naps during the day. It takes both me and Troy to change her and put clothes on her, we actually could use another hand; she just tries to roll all over the place and sometimes gets angry. She really likes her bath time. She is just one special girl, we love her so much and even though she is a handful I enjoy being her mom and taking care of her. We are just so lucky to be her parents and to raise her. I love her so much!!!!!!

Poor Lyla

Two days after we left Pinedale, Lyla got a TERRIBLE cold, it lasted forever. Every night was just awful. She would wake up every 1-2 hours and couldnt breathe at all. Shes had colds but none like this one. Then after almost a week the cold turned into croupe, it was soo sad and scary because it was hard for her to breathe. We took her to the doctors and she also had an ear infection. They gave her antibiotics and was supposed to be on it for 10 days, on the 6th day i noticed she had some pink spots on her, I thought they were just bug bites because the night before we were outside for a while. The next morning it covered her whole body. We took her to the doctors and they gave her some steroids to take. We gave her benedryl and the steriod hoping it would go away. By night it still hadn't gone away and now her hands and feet were sooooo swollen. We went ahead and took her to the E.R. and waited forever! they gave her a shot of another steriod. Thats what made it go away! What also was annoying is every doctor visit and perscription we had to pay for because we werent in Az. (we're on access in az and everything is covered there) Poor Lyla went through alot those couple of weeks and whats sad is she cant take anything with penicillin in it because she is allergic. This was all because someone got her sick!

Lyla also broke in her first tooth on april 14th, her bottom right tooth.

After the shot she fell asleep, it was midnight by this time. I love that her feet stick out of her carseat.

Easter family reunion

My whole family celebrated easter the week before and the WHOLE family was there. We hadn't all been together for 2 years! it was so much fun to all be together. It was also Lyla's first easter.

Troy and I have been here in cali since March 30th because Troy is once again working here for the summer. We will be here probably till July. Its been so much fun being here in cali and visiting old and new friends. I forgot how much i love cali, its seriously beautiful here!!!!

7 months

This posts is long over, Lyla turned 7 months on March 20th. She Started to crawl on march 27th and now she is ALL over the place, she is standing up on anything and everything, she even walks along things too. She will sometimes take her hands off and will be standing by herself for a few seconds.

Over the past month she has become ALOT more active, she has alot of energy and is a very happy girl

she squeals, screams, blows bubbles, and babbles all day long

she says mamama and dadada all the time, i love it!

Now that she can stand its harder for her to go to sleep on her own. She just stands up and also plays witht he monitor thats in her crib

Loves to feed herself, and loves her puffs. She also likes feeding herself turkey, bananas, and everything thats on the floor!

She makes funny faces and the one i love is her scrunched up face.

Used to be easy to put down for bed, but not anymore!

Will go to anyone, such a friendly little baby

Getting more to be mommy's girl, she likes to have attention and sometimes doesnt like when i leave the room

She is so much fun, and alot of work, but well worth it. I love her so much!!!

Pinedale

On March 15th 2010 we went up to pinedale and stayed in Troys Grandma's cabin with the Palmers. We stayed there for a few days. Troy was able to go snowboarding with his brother Sterling. This picture above was us coming home from Pinedale

Lyla just loves being outside. I take her out alot, I swing her and then we just sit on the grass. She would just sit there and look all around, She loved looking at the airplanes. She would just sit so calmly and just soak everything in.
