All about Lyla

Lyla is now 19 months and lately has been extra HARD and lets be honest it has been very very difficult for me. She is super super active, gets into everything, doesnt listen to me, and throws lots and lots of tantrums..........but its moments like these that make it worth it. 25!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On March 14th I turned a quarter of a century old!!! To be honest that makes me feel so old! because next year i'll be 26 which means I'm almost 30!!!! But I truly did have the best day ever. Everyone made my day sooo special! Saturday, before my birthday, Troy threw me a little birthday party! We made lime tacos and my friend Katie made my favorite desert....cake balls! we had so much fun hanging out and playing games and eating the best tacos ever....My mouth is watering right now just talking about them.

Then for my actual birthday it started out by me getting to sleep in :) Troy had a later class that day so he was able to get up with Lyla. Then that afternoon he had set up an appt for me to get a pedicure. Troy's parents came out that evening to watch Lyla while we went out to eat at Le Chalet (a fondue and crepe place) and then we saw the movie Adjustment Bureau. We then came home to meet my friends and watch the finale of the Bachelor!! It was seriously the best day ever!!! Troy got me for my birthday a really cute necklace and watch! He has such great taste. Thank you everyone who made my day so special and especially to my hubby Troy!!!!

Spring Break part 2

Tue morning we headed off to Newport Beach where we were staying 2 nights at a house we were renting with all our friends from school. Most everyone stayed monday-friday. As we were driving on the freeway our car started making a really loud noise so we pulled over. Long story short we had to get it towed to a car place to get it fixed. Luckily we were able to use my moms car. with the tow and getting our car fixed it cost us almost $400 :( We finally got to newport a few hours later. We had such a great time hanging out with friends, spending time on the beach, playing games. We all took turns making dinner which was sooo yummy by the way. I do have to admit Lyla was extra hard during the stay at the beach for whatever reason. And she was such a bully to little Owen! But of course all in all we had a great time and hopefully we can make a tradition out of this!

Here we are getting ready to head to Ruby's on the pier. Jamie's little girl was asleep so she couldnt go so she offered to watch Lyla. Sooo nice of her, my meal was extra good that night.

Spring break part 1

Troy had a week off of school for spring break. Which means Lyla gets a dad and I get a husband! We decided to go to cali. We got there sunday evening so that we could head to Disneyland on Monday. We had so much fun together as our little family. We took our time there, more of a relaxed time at disneyland it was alot of fun. Lyla was actually really really good the whole time. We enjoyed our time together so much. Lyla loves going on rides and her favorites were Small World and riding the carousel.

Feburary

A few girls from church put on a really nice dinner held at the church for all the couples. There decorated it sooo nice as if we were in a real restaurant. They even had musical numbers with dim lighting to set the mood. They had some of the young women serve us our dinner. They also had music for us to slow dance to. They even set up a corner to take pictures. We sat with our good friends Katie and Matt. We had a really good time!

Lyla

The other day I was putting on my makeup and Lyla took my eyeshadow brush and ran in the other room. I came out a couple min later to get it from her and she was sitting on play vanity set looking in the mirrior putting the brush on her eye lids. How cute is that??

I think is safe to say that Lyla FINALLY sleeps through the night!!! It was getting sooo bad that for a while that she was up sometimes for hours at a time in the night and also wasnt going down easy like she used to. So I finally just let her cry when i put her to bed and now she is sleeping! Life is so much better when you get sleep!!

Janurary...

For New Years Eve we had over Kade Kaylee, Jon, and Andy over. We Played games, ate, and laughed a ton! We also busted out some fireworks which actually were pretty dinky but still fun to watch. It was a low key new years but we had a blast with this gang! our favorite part was doing our super ugly faces!
