My baby shower for Jackson September 2012

My dear friends Lindsee and Heather threw me the cutest shower ever! They made the cutest decorations and made the yummiest food!! Plus they are both mothers to twins! They are so busy but still managed to throw a great shower! Also everyone helped and brought some delicious food!!!

I on the other hand didn't know if I was going to make it to my own shower. A week before hand I was hospitalized for kidney stones! That my friends was THE worst pain I had ever been in, plus being 35 weeks prego is not fun. I stayed in the hospital for 3 days and still no sign of passing the kidney stone. They were thinking they might have to do surgery but really didn't want to since I was pregnant. For 3 days straight they had to keep me on Dilaudid through an IV which by the way was the best thing ever!! So after the third day I started to feel a little better so they sent me home with some percocet. Then, after a couple days, the pain started to come back and I was begging the dr to do the surgery but they really didn't want to so they just said "just take a hot bath" yeah that did the job, NOT! honestly i have never experienced such pain all while having the other discomforts of being big and pregnant, it was not fun. So for two weeks the pain was on and off and eventually it stopped. The dr was thinking I might have to get induced at 37 weeks if I had not passed it. Thankfully I did by then (although I never saw the dang thing, so im assuming i did since the pain stopped).

When I went in for my check up at 38 weeks I was just so done being pregnant that I asked my dr if he could induce me. He obliged, I think he felt sorry for me from all the pain I had gone through and so we scheduled me due date the for the next week. Anyway, I got a little side tracked, in the middle of those 2 weeks of having kidney stones I had my shower. Thank goodness I felt ok that day but I also was a little loopy on my drugs and totally puffy from all the fluid from the IVs they pumped in me. I believe i had gotten home from the hospital just a day or two before the shower.

 On to the shower.......

March 2013

fyi pictures are way out of order!

They love each other
 5 month cutie

This day was a big deal. The day Lyla got rid of her binky's. While watching tv she saw a commercial with Build A Bears. She really wanted it so I told her if she got rid of her binky's we would go and get her one. So a few min later she was cutting them up and threw them away! That is a huge deal, she was so obsessed with her binky's.

 So proud of her!
