16 months

One word that describes Lyla.....FEARLESS. Cant believe she is almost 18 months!

New words in her vocabulary. rock, cracker, Tree (she said tree twice, but hey she said it)

she knows where her head, eyes, ears, nose, hair, mouth teeth, hands, and feet are. Its sooo cute! but my most favorite is when i say where are your teeth? she does the biggest, cheesiest smile ever and she has the biggest teeth ever haha I love it! I will post pictures of that one of these days.

I just love Lyla, she is so sweet! Another favorite thing she does is when im holding her and I'm wearing jewelry she touches it and says "pretty" or she'll touch my hair and say "pretty".
oh how i love her.

Lyla is so smart!

Troy was getting Lyla out of the car and she started to point at something and say "pretty". Troy said to her, "Lyla is pretty" while pointing to her. Then he started asking her what her name was and then saying that she was Lyla. Lyla started saying "lyla," copying Troy. By the time he was in the house he could ask her what her name was and she would respond by pointing to herself and saying "Lyla"!
I thought it was the cutest thing ever!!!

Another thing that i thought was cute is around 2 weeks ago we were playing on my bed and all a sudden she would pretend she was eating food out of my hand. I put my hand out and she was pretending to pick up something and then put it in her mouth. We did that back and forth to each other and were laughing. I thought that was so fun that she is getting an imagination!

Month of October

We had alot going on in the month of October! the picture below was on october 5th we had a girls night at my house of all the wives of midwestern students. We have a "support group" facebook page and we have all met through that. These girls are awesome, we are going to try and do this once a month. We had so much fun getting to know everyone. We also had yummy desserts/appitizers. Cant wait for the next one On oct 7th me and lyla flew to cali to spend a week out there. My sis carolee who lives in Pennsylvania was going to live with my mom for a couple months while her husband had some rotations for residency. So i went out there to spend time with her and also i did alot of hair of course

this picture is Lyla and her friend Ava. We went to Disneyland with one of my best friends that i've known since 5th grade. We seriously had the best time ever!! I think i laughed non stop the entire time. Thats what you get when you hang out with carissa!

In the picture above you can kind of see lyla's first black eye....she ran into the corner of my sisters bed. I was also able to go to niece Kate's babtism. I was so glad i could be there for that!









Here we went to the pumpkin patch, they had a little petting zoo and a train ride.

Oct 27th a group of us went to the park and had a pumpkin carving contest

on october 28th we went to the state fair with our good friends Julie and Tyson and their little boy owen. We had alot of fun and saw alot of fancy people there!

Here is Lyla in her Chicken costume and as you can tell she was sooooo excited to put it on! and to carry her bucket around. Oct 29th Troys school had a trunk or treat at the school and they had fun activites and the kids went around to different office's to get candy

That night we had our ward trunk or treat and the picture below is lyla walking across the stage doing a costume parade for everyone. we had to leave right after this and not do the trunk or treat because it was already almost 8pm and they hadnt even started the trunk or treat!!! are you kidding me? i was annoyed but she looked so cute!

A group of us decided to have a little halloween party/dinner. We had sooo much fun and i wish i had a real group shot of us! we had homemade soups, roles, corn bread and dinner in a pumpkin and also some really yummy desserts.

This picture is not him blowing snot. Our friends jenny and skyler were in charge of games (they did and awesome job by the way) and we played "min. to win it" it was a bunch of games we had to do in a min and this one was Tyson had to get so many cottons balls on a plate putting vasaline on his nose and getting the cotton balls to stick on it and then blow it off on the plate

after all the games we had a little dance party, we turned off the lights and played some music and got "down" haha. we had so much fun!!!!! I think we'll make this a tradition

Lyla will 15 months in 5 days and as of late here are some new things she has picked up

blows kisses
when she sees a train she says "choo choo"
climbs on the kitchen table and all the way up her tall high chair and sits in it
knows where her mouth, ears, eyes, and nose are and can say eyes and nose
know how to do "all done" in sign language
when i say she has a stinky diaper she waves her hand over her nose
likes to jump and especially on the bed
when she wants something she says excitingly "be bop be bop!"
when food is too hot she says "ah ah" aka hot hot
she now gives most of her kisses with her lips puckered
and she can throw little tantrums (is she 2 yet?)
shes so cute, a handful but cute. We love her!
