December happenings

Dec. 18th Troy finally graduated! He got straight A's im so proud of him and he graduated magna cum laude. He worked soooo hard and i appreciate how much he put into his education.

If you look closely that is him accepting his diploma. Troy and his Grandma Jarman

Troy and his 2 sisters

love this picutre, she loves her daddy

These next few pictures are at our ward christmas party, this was the first time Lyla got sad when someone else was holding her haha

Lyla and scary santa....doesnt he look scary to you??

Me and Troy were invited to a family production of the nativity and they asked us to be Mary and Joseph.

This picture was taken on our little family Christmas (we celebrated it 2 days before christmas)

we started this tradition a few years ago to make a really nice dinner, watch a christmas movie, exchange presents. We made homade fettutini alfredo and the olive garden salad dressing and some other yummy stuff. We watched "Its a wonderful life" and made some homade chocolate fondue with strawberries.

Lyla is opening her gift from Grandma Jayne, she got a fun little toy and a portable dvd player

I got Troy some first addition church history books

And a snuggie haha, he likes it

He got me a cute headband and some earings

And when i thought he didnt get me anything else, he suprised me with this. I put Lyla to sleep and when i came out he said, " did you hear that on the roof"? and we went out the back yard to find this. I seriously love it and have been wanting one for soooo long!

Now these pictures are on Christams day at the Palmers

In her cute christmas outfit

she seriously loves looking at herself in the mirrior

playing with grandpa and grandma palmer

Christmas night we went over to my sister melissa's house, she made such a yummy dinner!

We took family pictures with all of Troy's family, this was taken with our camera

Lyla has been loving her feet

so funny

the many faces of Lyla

This is Alma, we were celebrating her 100th birthday. She is like a grandma to me. She has seen me grow up. She just passed away this morning. She will be missed

we started Lyla on rice cereal Jan. 12th. The pictures may not show it, but she really loves her rice cereal. She doesnt quite get how to eat it, she just tries to slurp it up. It has helped her sleep better through the night which is nice.

Lyla is truly such a joy! She will turn 5 months in a couple of days. She is such a happy baby and still doesnt cry very much at all! she smiles all day long.

A few things she likes to do/learned:

sucking on her feet

sucking on her bottom lip and at the same time blowing bubbles

she scratches everything from her head to my arm, on the wall ect.

she does her high pitch cute screams and talks all day long
just learned how to roll over from her stomache to back, shes been doing the other way for a while
always has to touch her binky when its in her mouth, she pats it. She likes to know its there.
puts everything in her mouth, including her whole fist, literally.
loves everyone and smiles all day long.
I went almost 5 months of pumping, i stopped about a week ago. A couple of days before i stopped pumping i was seriously only getting like a 1/2 ounce total but couldnt get myself to stop . It was so hard for me to stop, but i know that i gave it my all and tried so hard and for all those months she got alot of breast milk and that makes me happy. I do have to say i dont feel as tide down and its kind of nice not having to worry about pumping all the time. I guess you can say its bitter sweet.
Right now me and troy have been in cali since the very end of dec. and we will be here till the end of Jan. He has been working for my bro in law doing demolition again. It pays very very well but it is very tough on troy physically. But we are fortunate that my bro in law is so nice to let him work for him!

That truly was the scariest Santa. Maybe Wes and Troy can wear their snuggies together. Two tall men just wearing what they love.

That IS the scariest Santa I have ever seen. YIKES!! Cute pics. I swear...Lyla just makes me laugh. She has the funniest faces I've ever seen. Which considering the faces her mama can pull...it doesn't really surprise me. :)

I love the update! Seems like it has been so long since I've seen Lyla, and it's only been a few weeks! That is so fun that Troy surprised you with a glider. And how do you guys get such good family pictures? I would love just ONE!
