Fathers Day

My dad is the best dad in the world! He is the best example to me and to so many people. He is also the smartest person I know. I can ask him any question about anything and he always seems to know it. Me and Troy always call my dad when we need advice. I love my dad soooo much!

Lyla is THE luckiest little girl to have Troy as her Dad. I am truely blessed to have a family with this man. He not only loves being a dad and loves playing with her, but he also is sooo willing to ALWAYS help me when I need it. Lyla still doesnt sleep through the night and he always offers to either help me with her or even take her so I can get some rest. I am so grateful for his example, his hard work and dedication to being such a wonderful dad. Troy reminds me so much of my dad and I love that. Thank you Troy for ALL you do for us, we both are soooo lucky to have you in our lives.

Lyla LOVES her Dad. When Troy comes home from school we wait at the window until she sees his car and she screams DADDY! and she runs outside to greet him.

This picture is taken on Mothers Day. I had a great/not so great mothers day. It was great because Troy made it special by cooking me this yummy dish! and taking care of lyla the entire day and letting me take a nice long nap and giving me a great back massage. It wasnt so great because I had the 24 hour flu. I felt aweful!
I have to say being a mom is the best thing ever. It is definitly the hardest job but its also the best job. I love being Lyla's mom, she is the craziest, funniest, sweetest little girl. I love her sooooo much!!!

Vacation time!!!

Troy got out of school May 20th (one of the happiest days of my life). So a few days later we headed to cali for 2 weeks. Part of the time I did hair and most of the time we had tons of fun. Ryan and Taryn were at my parents also so Lyla got to play/beat up macy the whole time we were there. It was fun watching movies with my dad and eating yummy food from my mom.

We went to Huntington Beach for a few hours. Right when we got there Lyla just sat down to watch the waves, I love this picture of her.

And then we rented a bike for an hour. It was fun for the first 10 min. Last time we'll do that again my legs were dying! We had alot of fun!

Here is a picture of us going to dinner with Ryan, Taryn, Wes, April, Paul, Jill, and Jesse. Im so mad this was the only picture we took that night. We ate at Lucille's BBQ, and we had so much fun catching up with everyone. The hightlight of that night was that during dinner we all decided to go to a movie afterwards and Ryan offered to buy my ticket IF I did "This is the first time I ever..." for the table next to us! For those of you who don't know what "this is the first time I ever..." is, you have to say that phrase and then do a crazy action, noise, etc that is completely embarrassing. Anyways after much coercion I got up and went to the table next to us and said, "this is the first time I ever..." and then I started to tap dance in front of them! Ryan, however, thought that I hadn't put my whole heart into it and said that it didn't count. He said though, that if I did it again and put my full heart into it and completely made a fool of myself then he'd pay for my ticket and for Troy's. So I got up and walked over, again, to this table and said, "this is the first time I ever..." and I made the ugliest face, made a very ugly noise, and contorted my body very non-lady-like! haha The man at the table said "keep going!" and pulled out a dollar bill. So I started doing a booty dance for my dollar haha!

On Memorial Day we went to Kristens house for some good food and swimming

Lyla went down the water slide and loved it. She is not scared of the water she wishes she could just swim all by herself.

We then went to Disneyland and had sooo much fun. Lyla LOVES Mickey Mouse and was so happy to give him a hug!

This picture is out of order but this was us at the end of the day and Lyla fell asleep and slept through everything for a couple hours, I think she was a little tired this is not a usual thing she does.going on the train

I convinced Joy to go on Tower of Terror. She absolutly HATES this ride and is sooo scared. Let me tell you I will never ask Joy to go on this ride ever again. I have never heard someone scream in sheer terror like that before. Me and Troy were seriously so concerned for her she just lost it on the ride.As you can see in the picture......the saddest yet funniest thing ever!!

I didnt get pictures of us going out with our good friends Nicole and Jeff, we met them at Pei Wei. We always love getting together with them. They actually met us at Disneyland too which of course we forgot pictures of that!

We had so much fun in Cali, I always love visiting my friends and family.

When we got home my mom was here in Az and stayed with us for a few days. She cooked and cleaned for us and even helped start my food storage. She also taught me how to make homemade bread! Im so excited to bake bread all the time. Im always so grateful for all she does for us when she comes.

About a week after we got home from cali we headed up to our family cabin in Groom Creek ( Prescott) It was our first real trip with just the 3 of us and no one else. We had the best time. It was so relaxing and beautiful.

We would go into town and walk around old shops and eat at yummy restaraunts. We also went on a fun hike at Goldwater river.

Month of April

We celebrated Easter a week early at the Palmers house. We had a nice dinner and an easter egg hunt. Lyla got the hang of everything as you can see.

Here we are at Troy's school. Every year they do a huge Easter egg hunt for the families and they have lots of activities to do and a few bounce houses. I think Lyla's favorite part was meeting the Easter bunny.
