Our Sweet Little Lyla

Boy does time fly by, I now have an official 2 year old. I am so truly grateful to be Lyla's Mom. She is one of a kind and this little girl makes me laugh all the time, and of course at times makes me want to pull my hair out too but she is so worth it. Here are some fun things about Lyla
I have caught her a few times sucking on her toes

Lyla loves reading her books and loves to be read to

She also is the most mischievious kid I know, this picture was taken literally a min after she was reading her books

Her new thing is to get naked. This girl knows how to take her diaper off in 2 sec.

Lyla is the most friendly little girl. She says hi to anyone and everyone no matter where we're at. When people come to our house she answers the door and says "come in!"

Lyla is very much into dressing up in princess outfits. When she puts it on she will say "prescious". She loves all the princess movies especially Little Mermaid, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty

This girl still loves her food. Her favorites are corn on the cobb, mac and cheese, carrots, green beans, waffles, apples and pretty much anything we feed her she'll eat.

She always loves making funny faces

The last few months she has been talking up a storm talking in full sentences. She will sometimes have her own language but for the most part she pronounces things very well and loves to learn how to say new words. She knows how to count to14 and can even count backwards from 5 down. She loves to sing and her favorite songs she can sing by herself is ABCs, twinkle twinkle, itsy bitsy spider.

Lyla goes in time out alot (usually time out is in her crib because she cant get out) She isnt the best listener and likes to test her limits all the time. Her favorite thing is to runaway from me and man is she sooo fast!

She loves to make us laugh all the time

She loves trying on mommy's glasses, shoes, and jewelry

I know this is bad to admit but she loves tv. Her favorite shows are mickey mouse, calliou, little bear and yo gabba gabba. And NO she is not allowed to sit on our entertainment center!

She is the most fearless little girl and thinks she can climb on anything! Which she can it seriously amazes me

She loves animales!

Lyla also likes to call us by our first names, especially when she is trying to get our attention.

She ALWAYS says her please and thank yous and oops excuse me.

We just LOVE our little Lyla and we are so grateful she is our daughter!

While we were in cali we were able to celebrate Lyla's 2nd birthay. As you can see she is very excited that shes 2. We had lots of good food and family and friends over at my sister Kristens house.

California Time

In Aug we were able to go to cali one last time before Troy started school again. We went to one of the Fullmer weddings and had fun with the family too. That week while we were there we also celebrated Lyla's birthday (another post) and hung out with our friends. I always love back home to cali!

6th Anniversary

On our anniversary we went to Troys good friend, Kc's wedding. It was nice to remember our own sealing.

 Then a week later we were able to celebrate our anniversary by going to dinner and seeing Harry Potter

So lucky to have married Troy, I am truly soooo lucky to have him as my eternal companion :)

Month of July

The pictures are out of order but the pictures on the bottom are from when Joy and her kids and Kristen and her kids came to az and we had such a fun weekend. We all drove up to Tucson to visit with all our cousins. We had such a fun time with them. These pictures up top were from the family reunion we had with Troys family. We all stayed in a  beautiful cabin in Sundance. We did lots of fun activities such as going to a petting zoo, ate at Jdawgs, went to a museum and went on the ski lift which i was so terrified of especially having Lyla up that high thinking shes gonna jump off at any sec. You better believe I held on to her so tight. We had such a great time with family and going up to Utah again. 

Pee pee in the toilet!!

The past couple weeks I have let Lyla try and sit on the potty to see if anything would happen and to get her familiar with it. I for sure am not starting the official potty training for a while but thought she can get a little used to it. So today she was naked from playing outside in the water and she was in the bathroom watching Troy get ready. She started doing some toots (sorry if this is too much) so Troy just said "if you need to go potty go in the toilet" but of course didnt think anything of it. Well I heard her in the other bathroom and there she was sitting on the toilet. I then helped her to get a little more situated and asked if she needed to go pee pee. Well she ended up going! I was so proud. She was rewarded a cupcake for that! I think potty training maybe a little easy with Lyla!!! or at least I'm hoping!!

Fathers Day

My dad is the best dad in the world! He is the best example to me and to so many people. He is also the smartest person I know. I can ask him any question about anything and he always seems to know it. Me and Troy always call my dad when we need advice. I love my dad soooo much!

Lyla is THE luckiest little girl to have Troy as her Dad. I am truely blessed to have a family with this man. He not only loves being a dad and loves playing with her, but he also is sooo willing to ALWAYS help me when I need it. Lyla still doesnt sleep through the night and he always offers to either help me with her or even take her so I can get some rest. I am so grateful for his example, his hard work and dedication to being such a wonderful dad. Troy reminds me so much of my dad and I love that. Thank you Troy for ALL you do for us, we both are soooo lucky to have you in our lives.

Lyla LOVES her Dad. When Troy comes home from school we wait at the window until she sees his car and she screams DADDY! and she runs outside to greet him.

This picture is taken on Mothers Day. I had a great/not so great mothers day. It was great because Troy made it special by cooking me this yummy dish! and taking care of lyla the entire day and letting me take a nice long nap and giving me a great back massage. It wasnt so great because I had the 24 hour flu. I felt aweful!
I have to say being a mom is the best thing ever. It is definitly the hardest job but its also the best job. I love being Lyla's mom, she is the craziest, funniest, sweetest little girl. I love her sooooo much!!!

Me and Lyla had a little makeover one day, I put on all the works of makeup. I think she liked it :)

I love this picture of Lyla, she didnt not want to take of her shoes and if you look closely she has a binky in her mouth and in each hand. She is OBSESSED with her binkys!

Here is Lyla with her good friend Zurick. He is one of the few kids she bullies, they get along great! They are so cute together!

We might need to watch out for these two in a few years
