November 2011

I wish I took more pictures with all the fun things we did in november. the first two pictures are of Lyla at Cabelas. Troy was so proud of her shooting skills, he didnt even teach her how she was a natural.

This year was thanksgiving with my family. We always look forward to this. My cousins put on a couples party and we play fun games and we keep score so whoever wins get prizes. We won 2nd place and got movie tickets :) Anyway on to the games..... these next few photos were to see who had the ugliest "family photos" I know sounds weird but so funny
Im in the one below but you can only see my arm, but hey you can see Troy betwen Ryans legs

The next games were who could speed walk the fastest ( so funny to watch), shoot the basket, finding your animal match using animal sounds with your eyes closed. And the our most favorite is our "dance off" each couple has to dance to a hip/hop song and we choose whos was the best. I got them all on video but no pictures. Let me tell you our family really knows how to dance!!! It was seriously the best night.

Then the next day we celebrated my grandpas 100th birthday. We had a carnival with lots of games and his favorite foods. We also had some more compititions with prizes at the end. It was so fun spending time with family and remembering my grandpa. There were over 100 people there for the reunion.

Month of October

October was a jam packed month. And having so many pictues to post everything got all mixed up trying to upload! way annoying.
Here is daddy and Lyla carving their pumpkins. Lyla actually hated touching the seeds.

This was our 2nd year hosting our Halloween party. We had a yummy dinner ( I always make dinner in a pumpkin and we also had some yummy soups) We also had our friends jenny and skyler be in charge again of games playing min. to win it. So fun! Heres the good lookin guys
 the girls
Troy and Ryan concentrating so hard
 Troys lovely pumpkin
Lyla was Cinderella and this was her posing
Me and Troy were the ugly step sisters
We found this beautiful dress at DI and Troy even found some highheels that fit him (size 13 double wide shoe) hahaha
I didnt get everyones picture but here are a few....

Troy did a pumpkin to look like Lyla when she does her "funny face"
A few days before Halloween we went to Troys moms trunk or treat. Their ward goes all out with bouncy houses, lots of activities, music, cotton candy and lots of other stuff. Lyla was in heaven
This is just a random picuter but I thought it was funny that Lyla decided to watch a movie with this hat on.
Here is Lyla on Halloween trick or treating. She was very polite and saying her please and thank you's. I loved watching her go door to door saying trick or treat

On Halloween during the day Troy's school had a trunk or treat. The little kids go to the offices and they get candy, then outside they had lots of fun activities for the kids.
Lyla loved this giraffe, she kept following it and wanting to give it hugs
We went to a pumpkin patch and picked out pumpkins and looked at the little farm they had and went through a corn maze.
These next few pictures we went to the fair which was such a blast!
Lyla had never been on a roller coaster before and what surprised me is she instinctively put both her hands up on each dip and was just screaming and laughing. She is one little dare devil.

Here is another picture at the pumpkin patch that got out of order. Yes I put this picture up even though im blinking but it was so cute of Lyla

Month of September

I havent blogged in so long so I cant really remember what happend in September. But I found this cute picuter of Tessa and Lyla taken in Sept. Tessa put her arm around Lyla all on her own. They were watching a movie together. So cute!
We celebrated Troys 29th birthday by going to Texas Road house. We got the hookups there getting free drinks and a dessert since our friend Kaylee works there :) I cant believe hes almost 30!! thats soooooooo old to me. Hes like almost 40!
During Labor day weekend we celebrated my parents 40th anniversary! My parents took all of us kids and spouses to the Buttes hotel in Tempe. We each got our own room! ( how nice of our parents to do that for us on THEIR anniversary. We had the best time. We went out to dinner Friday night and then we all went night swimming. It was THE nicest pool I had ever been to. We always have to much fun together!
Troy is teasing my dad for always wearing his trunks so high up
Sat. morning we went to Last Chance and all of us scored some great stuff
Later that day we all went to do sealings at the Temple. What was so cool is We eneded up in the same exact room my parents got sealed in 40 years earlier. It was so special to to with everyone in the temple (we missed carolee and jeff :(
Afterwards we ate at Monty's steakhouse in Tempe. That place has sentimental value to my mom. The owner of Monty's way back when knew my mom's dad. When my mom was a little girl and her family went to eat there they would always get special treatment. We went swimming again that night. Then Sunday we went to church together and everyone who lived in cali headed home. It was such a special and fun trip for everyone. It was the first time Troy and I spent the night away from Lyla. I have to admit that in the months leading up to it I would get such anxiety knowing I was going to leave her. It was worth it though and we had such a blast. Thank you mom and dad!
