Halloween festivities

 This was the best picture we could get out of Lyla, she had been talking about being a witch for a couple months. She wanted to be a witch with a green face but thankfully she forgot about the green face

This was on actual Halloween, she went trick or treating with Evie Mae. She was so cute she would say "trick or treat" and "happy halloween"

My mom watched Jackson while us three went to the pumpkin patch. It was so nice to get out and for it to be us 3 again. Lyla LOVED the animals.

 a week later we carved our pumpkins, Lyla doesnt like to touch the insides of the pumpkin so I had to put gloves on her

 Troy really gets into his pumpkins, and hes such a perfectionist. It seriously took him 3 hours to do his pumpkin

The big 3-0!

 

 I have an old husband! We both cant believe he is 30 years old! I felt bad because I wasnt able to go all out for his birthday because of my kidney stones and being huge and pregnant, but we managed to have some fun. We went out to dinner with some friends at Lucille's bbq and then on his actual birthday we went over to his parents house and had dinner and I made his favorite dessert.

had to throw this pic in. She always has to dress herself, and she never lets me do her hair and she always seems to have the shoes on the wrong feet.

 Here is Lyla's best friend Evie Mae, she lives right across the street. It has been a lifesaver for me. They so well together and they just go back and forth to our houses. Its been so nice for her to have someone to play with because lately I am too busy with the baby to keep her entertained. We love living next to friends!!

Lyla turns 3!

 

 

 

 

 

Aug. 20th Lyla turned 3 years old. Her actual birthday was on a monday and Troy was out of town doing his rotation in Cottonwood, so Grandma and Grandpa took us out to Red Robin for dinner then took Lyla to the Disney store to pick out a princess dress. Then we got some cupcakes for dessert.

 

 

 

 We celebrated Lyla's birthday the next weekend at Grandma Palmers house. We did a carnival theme since Terri had everything for it. Terri did all the decorating, she definetely went all out!

Where do I even start with Lyla, she can be very sweet, saying I love you and giving us hugs and kisses. She plays really well with other kids, especially older kids. She is very funny and makes me and Troy laugh all the time. She is very very outgoing and will hold a conversation with anyone. She has such an imagination, she has two pretend dogs that she walks. They are pink and purple. She always has to wear lipgloss and she carries a few of them with her in her purse. She is very sweet with babies and especially Jackson, she loves him and always wants to give him a binky or help with his bottle. Lyla also has been a challenge for me, she is VERY strong willed and will fight me on everything. She still will throw many tantrums a day which we have resorted in changing the lock to the outside :) She also will talk back now I already feel like she is a teenager. I love her but she truly is the hardest kid ever. She NEVER listens to me and does the very opposite I tell her. For example I say to her, "Lyla lets hurry we're late" she says, "no I go slow" and she goes as slow as possible. There you have it, miss lyla in a nut shell. We love her.

First day of preschool. Lyla was sooo angry I put on that outfit and the an ungly one she wanted. It was a whole ordeal, but I wanted her to be cute at least for the first day of school.

 she would not smile in any of the pictures, but she sure did have fun at school.

She does pretty good in school, she plays well with others but she does have a hard time listening. Although the other day the teacher told me she has been better at sitting and she does well with her crafts. She loves preschool.

 I had to potty train her before she started which was the worst 3 weeks of my life! Lyla would not go poo in the toilet for the longest time! she would always go in her pants and one day even did a nice log in our cabinet with all our pots and pans. But after the 3 weeks she has done great. She still has accidents, and as of late she likes to hold her pee in! But I am very proud of her for getting the hang of it eventually and she hasnt had an accident at school :)

7 year anniversary

Wow its already been 7 years!! Crazy how time flies by when you're having fun. Troys parents watched Lyla while we went to an Italian restaraunt called Brio. Then we walked around San Tan villiage for a bit. I couldnt take walking too much so we ended our date early. It was so nice to get to spend some time just me and him. What a great guy I have :) Heres to eternity!!!

 day 21, he starts to suck on his fists when hes hungry, or he will just scream all a sudden!

 day 26. I think this is around the time he started to get really fussy when he was awake. He would cry and fuss about 80 to 90% of the time while he was awake, he is super gassy. That lasted for a couple of weeks which was horrible. I had a super hard 3 yr old and colic baby. He now has been alot better. He still can be fussy but what I've learned is he gets really fussy because he is tired so I have to put him to sleep. He can stay up any longer than 2 hours max. He is a really good sleeper during the day, he will sleep 2-3 hours every nap its great. At night I have to sleep with him so he will sleep longer :(

 cant believe he is one month! my favorite thing is when he is crying he snorts over and over its the funniest thing.

 His first smile was oct. 31st he was only 4 weeks. It happened at the WIC office, he smiled like ten times in a row. (one month and 5 days)

we just love Jackson, and I just love having a little boy.

I forgot to write about my mom coming. She came and stayed with us for 10 days. She got up with Lyla every morning, cooked us dinner and picked up the house. I am so thankful for my mom and for everything she does for us. I know not every mom helps this much and for that I am so grateful. She really is such a wonderful mom and I love her so much!!!!
